Chicas Con Chisme
Our podcast Chicas Con Chisme, was easily one of my favorite parts of SSP. It was entirely in Spanish and was hosted by myself, Abby Brown, Denali Weaver, and Profe. Sanchez Gomez. We worked very closely to plan episodes, invited new guests weekly, and edit all episodes. It was amazing to discuss everything from Latin American Culture, BB&N traditions, and student experiences.
The Hosts & Guests
Having Professor Sanchez Gomez as our teacher for the past two years, along with sharing a class with Abby and Denali, has allowed us to build a truly meaningful connection—one that ultimately inspired us to create this podcast, which means so much to us.
Planning & Editing
As students, Abby, Denali, and I met once a week to plan each episode. This included brainstorming topics, selecting guests, preparing questions, and creating fun segments and games. We also kept our social media updated and assigned editing responsibilities for each episode. For the most part, we followed a rotational schedule and edited our episodes in GarageBand before uploading them to Spotify for our listeners to enjoy.
